Sealing a pickleball court requires proper materials to stay in top shape. The average pickleball court needs resealing every four to eight years. This need will vary depending on the severity of the seasons if it’s outdoors, and how often you use it. The USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) states the sport has increased by 650% over the past six years. Younger players are making up most of the growth, so top-of-the-line courts are in high demand. Call TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete and get your courts freshly sealed and striped now.

Materials Used To Seal Pickleball Courts

When we’re sealing a pickleball court, we use a unique product that goes beyond primary paint. At TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete, we seal the court after checking for proper drainage, cleaning, and filling existing cracks. The coating we use is a 100% acrylic rubberized emulsion mixed with silica sand. The stripes on the court are a similar product but with finer sand for faster ball speed.

Retrofitting Tennis Or Basketball Courts

You can easily convert tennis and basketball courts into pickleball courts. And the good news is you’ll get more than one court out of the deal. Pickleball is a cross between ping pong, tennis, and racquetball, using a pickleball and special paddles. The USAPA recommends Pickleball courts be 30 by 60 feet, although 34 by 64 gives the players more room. With multiple courts, some type of fencing for separation is ideal for player safety. Players won’t be blinded by the sun when the court striping goes from north to south.

TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete is licensed and has the experience to handle all your sealing needs. You can choose from several colors to seal your pickleball court. Is it time to seal coat your driveway? Schedule both of these at the same time and check them off your to-do list. Call TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete today!
