TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete President and Founder Ian Chaput discovered his passion for a job well done at his home while growing up in Severna Park, MD. Weekend mornings spent mowing lawns and completing other chores with his parents and two older brothers taught him the value of hard work. While attending Severna Park High School, he continued to cultivate his tireless work ethic while working in the bag room at Chartwell Country Club. These interactions helped him discover a taste for exceptional customer service.

While completing his bachelor’s in Business & Marketing at the University of Delaware, he spent his summers learning the asphalt trade from a trusted mentor. He continued to learn and gain more experience, each summer receiving more and more customers. After graduation, he worked in a sales position for Atlantic Lighting & Irrigation, obtaining valuable experience overseeing field crews and managing customers. Recently, he devoted full-time energies and officially founded TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete as the culmination of the core values that shaped him and his innate entrepreneurial spirit.

Ian is the leading face and presence of TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete, overseeing sales, big picture planning, customer relations, and the company’s social media presence. In his free time, Ian heads straight to the great outdoors where he can be found hunting, fishing or out on the golf course.

Maria Kennedy

Truseal Office Manager

Bio_Maria As the Office Manager of TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete, Maria Kennedy works behind the scenes to provide backend support in the form of customer communications, scheduling, supplier relations, and delivery management. Backed by her 38-year career as a physical therapist in Anne Arundel County, she brings her passion for helping others to assist TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete in countless ways. A woman of faith, she is a mother and stepmother to six boys. Her ability to bring organization serves her well in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic, fast-growing company like TruSeal Asphalt & Concrete.

Heriberto Ramon Saavedra

Director of Operations

A native of Leon, Nicaragua, Heriberto has been with TruSeal since 2022, and is an integral part of overseeing day-to-day operations. Duties include but not limited to managing inventories, equipment maintenance oversight, and reviewing work orders with crew leads. Heriberto is very passionate about spending time with his family, including his wife and young daughter. He also is an avid baseball fan and wants to one day visit every MLB baseball stadium!

Yelsin Prado Lima

Sport Court Project Foreman

Originally from Jutiapa, Guatemala, Yelsin is the crew leader for tennis, pickleball and basketball court projects. He loves learning about different kinds of skills and how to perfect his craft. Yelsin always has a wonderful disposition and is an incredibly creative problem solver. Aside from spending time with his wife and young son, he enjoys attending his local church where he can be found connecting with his local community members.

Cirilo Gonzalez Pantaleon

Asphalt Maintenance Project Foreman

Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Cirilo is an extremely hardworking member of our team who leads the sealcoating/asphalt maintenance team. A fast learner, Cirilo ensures each customer feels we have treated their property like it was our own by the end of the job. When not working with TruSeal, he keeps busy spending time with his wife and three daughters. Cirilo is an incredible cook and also our resident grill master who shares his native cuisine during our Company “Carne Asada” get togethers!

Boh and Stella

Boh and Stella are two retrievers who currently reside in Eastport, Annapolis. Stella loves nothing more than cuddles and belly rubs, however she now is learning how to be a big sister after the rambunctious young puppy Boh entered the picture.
