Ian Chaput
President/Director of Sales
TruSeal President and Founder Ian Chaput discovered his passion for a job well done at his home while growing up in Severna Park, MD. Weekend mornings spent mowing lawns and completing other chores with his parents and two older brothers taught him the value of hard work. While attending Severna Park High School, he continued to cultivate his tireless work ethic while working in the bag room at Chartwell Country Club. These interactions helped him discover a taste for exceptional customer service.
While completing his bachelor’s in Business & Marketing at the University of Delaware, he spent his summers learning the asphalt trade from a trusted mentor. He continued to learn and gain more experience, each summer receiving more and more customers. After graduation, he worked in a sales position for Atlantic Lighting & Irrigation, obtaining valuable experience overseeing field crews and managing customers. Recently, he devoted full-time energies and officially founded TruSeal as the culmination of the core values that shaped him and his innate entrepreneurial spirit.
Ian is the leading face and presence of TruSeal, overseeing sales, big picture planning, customer relations, and the company’s social media presence. In his free time, Ian heads straight to the great outdoors where he can be found hunting, fishing or out on the golf course.
Maria Kennedy
Office Manager
As the Office Manager of TruSeal, Maria Kennedy works behind the scenes to provide backend support in the form of customer communications, scheduling, supplier relations, and delivery management. Backed by her 38-year career as a physical therapist in Anne Arundel County, she brings her passion for helping others to assist TruSeal in countless ways. A woman of faith, she is a mother and stepmother to six boys. Her ability to bring organization serves her well in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic, fast-growing company like TruSeal.
Luis Martinez
Director of Operations
A native of Mexico City, Operations Director Luis Martinez learned the asphalt trade by working on weekend jobs with Ian before TruSeal was officially founded. He now oversees the day-to-day field operations for the company. Luis takes great satisfaction in completing a job from start to finish. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his 7-year-old son, perfecting his culinary craft, and learning new skills from YouTube videos.
Yoni Martinez
Asphalt Maintenance Foreman
Yoni Martinez is the TruSeal’s Asphalt Maintenance Foreman. A hardworking team member who enjoys working outdoors, Yoni is a native of Hidalgo, Mexico. He works alongside his cousin Luis in the field, learning the asphalt trade and growing in his knowledge and skills. Whenever he’s not working, he enjoys playing sports with his family and friends.
Miller & Stella
Truseal Mascots
Miller and Stella are an inseparable duo of Golden Retrievers who represent the energetic, optimistic spirit of TruSeal. This dynamic pair of canines currently reside in Eastport, Annapolis. Miller is 9 years old, and Stella is 4 years old. Miller enjoys nothing more than to fetch tennis balls for hours on end, while Stella loves a good belly rub whenever her older brother isn’t begging to play.
